Frontwave Credit Union Earns Multiple Awards in North County San Diego

OCEANSIDE, CA – Frontwave Credit Union is proud to announce it has received two major awards recognizing its impact, service, and commitment to the San Diego community.

Frontwave was named Best Credit Union in The Coast News Group’s 2025 Best of North County Awards. Voted on by local residents, these awards recognize the region’s top businesses and community organizations across a wide range of categories.

The Best of North County Awards celebrate the unique culture and identity of the region, home to more than 1.2 million residents. Winners are selected by popular vote and highlight the businesses and services that energize North County. “Being named North County’s Best Credit Union is more than just an honor. It’s validation that we’re living up to our promise to be the best place our Members have ever banked,” said Bill Birnie, President/CEO of Frontwave Credit Union.

In a second honor, Frontwave was honored to receive the inaugural 2025 Small Business Partnership Award from the Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA). The award, presented at OMA’s annual Evening of Distinction, recognizes outstanding organizations that go above and beyond to support the arts, culture, and community growth.

This year marks the first time OMA has expanded its annual Medal of Distinction tradition to include external partners, recognizing three standout organizations helping elevate Oceanside and the region as a cultural leader in Southern California.
