Pacific Marine Credit Union Makes Large Donation for Rady Children’s Hospital

Oceanside, CA — Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU) was once again a proud sponsor and supporter of AJ’s Kids Crane, an event that directly benefits the children of Rady Children’s Hospital. PMCU presented a $20,000 check to AJ Machado, from KyXy 96.5, to purchase toys for the children at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego.
AJ’s Kids Crane is an annual event where AJ lives up on a crane in a parking lot above Mission Valley until he collects 100,000 toys or raises the funds to purchase the toys. The toys collected are given to the children throughout the year at Rady Children’s Hospital as a reward for bravery, a “bribe” to encourage them to take medicine, a thing to play with a visiting friend, and much more! Rady Children’s Hospital is the only facility in San Diego exclusively dedicated to pediatric care and research.
As a sponsor of AJ’s Kids Crane, PMCU members and the community dropped off new toys at our 12 branches throughout San Diego, Riverside or San Bernardino counties. Supporters also purchased icons that were displayed in the branches. Pacific Marine Credit Union employees did not want to miss out on the joy of giving to this worthy cause, and held their own internal toy and fund raising efforts as well. Now in its ninth year sponsoring this event, PMCU has raised over $100,000.
