BOSTON, MA — Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU) was awarded the Navy Credit Union of the Year distinction at the Defense Credit Union Council’s 53rd annual conference.

Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU) was awarded the Navy Credit Union of the Year distinction at the Defense Credit Union Council’s 53rd annual conference. This is the second consecutive year that Pacific Marine has received the distinguished service award. PMCU Camp Pendleton Branch Manager Alyson Warner, Chief Operating Officer Randi Brooke, and President/CEO Bill Birnie proudly accepted the service award among their peers and military representatives.

“We are honored to be recognized for our service within the military community,” said Birnie. “It has been sixty-four years since we opened our first branch onboard MCB Camp Pendleton and our passion for serving our military members’ financial needs is as strong today as it was on day one.”

The Distinguished Services Awards identify credit unions that went above and beyond to provide exemplary service to service members and their families. PMCU was chosen to receive the honor of the Credit Union of the Year award based on their outreach to the military community and the support they provide through numerous programs and sponsorships. They were also recognized for their efforts to help military personnel attain their savings goals.
